Buyer Beware! Inc. is a licensed Washington Corporation formed in January, 1988 by three individuals with college degrees in engineering, construction management and building technology and administration. Each of us had experience in several trades before settling into careers as a residential home builder, electrician and design and build remodel contractor during the 1970's and 1980's.

 

Buyer Beware's three founding members met while working on common construction projects. We learned we worked well together and that our shared expertise would support a venture into the newly emerging market of pre-purchase inspections. In October of 1987 we sat down at a Commodore 128 computer and put together the twenty-four page checklist we still use for our inspections.

 

Our goal was, and remains today, to be the most thorough home inspection service in the Greater Seattle area.
